Shoshone Shows Approval:
Looking Forward to some
Summer Sports Action?

The Jet Boat Races are back!!

Did you get to see the Races last year?

Well, if you didn't, then you might enjoy the music video below. The weather last spring was a little damp, but a good time was had by all that gathered along the river banks just to catch a fleeting glance at a rocket on the water. Bar-BQ's and campfires lined the river as spectators enjoyed the show while visiting with friends and family in between runs...

What About This Year?

Well, it looks like the powers that be in Shoshone County have approved the Race for 2014. There is still some issues being championed by those that dont want them back, but they were deemed of no concern. The biggest issue seemed to be whether or not Memorial Day weekend is the best time to hold the races. We see a lot of tourists out camping during that weekend, getting away from it all, and it is believed by some that it will drive them away forever. We'll just have to wait and see if the date changes or remains set for Memorial Day weekend.

Benewah County Farm Bureau

Farm Bureau Rural Info Project

Benewah County Farm Bureau is a local grassroots organization consisting of a diverse membership that seeks to advocate responsible, productive, and sustainable agriculture with community education, political involvement, and a commitment to future generations.

We are hoping that in December we will be able to add new pages to this site concerning the Benewah County Code of the New West (CotNW). One page will be our main CotNW page that will include a great summary of what is covered in the document, a PDF file of our most up to date version of the CotNW for downloading and printing, and a presentation slideshow about it. For those who don’t know what the CotNW is about, it is a document containing pertinent information related to living in Benewah County.

Its main goal is help prospective new members of the community make an informed decision whether or not to move to Benewah County (it is not intended to encourage or discourage new citizens, it is just pertinent information collected from city and county offices and informed citizens and businesses). Our other page will be Community Links related to the CotNW that will help guests find more information from our community partners who are helping us share this vital information and some of those who contributed to the creation of the CotNW. Please check back in mid to late December to find the new document and also feel free to contact us for more information on this project.
